who let the dogs out?
woof woof woof! yup, Merryn and I decided to pay a visit to a dog cafe. it seems like you can only find one dog cafe in Busan (from Google) and that's where we went. its in Jangsan which was about an hour trip from our place here. the dog cafe is situated above a pet shop which seems very appropriate of course.
i visited a dog cafe when i was in Seoul a month ago and the concept is pretty much the same. customers have to pay a certain amount to stay in the cafe. this one charged 8,000 krw which comes with a drink and a buffet-style selection of pastries and biscuits. the one in Seoul charged the same price but only came with a drink, so i guess this one was more worth the money.
as you can see, there is a 'wall' that separates the place where the dogs are from where the customers seat but the smaller dogs are allowed to come over to our side and mingle. :D here are some examples.
maybe there were a lot of people or maybe the dogs could sense that we are foreigners (?) or maybe because Merryn lured one of the dogs over by offering him a biscuit but after about an hour of sitting there, a black Cocker Spaniel finally took residence on the seat next to me. heeeh.
the environment was nice, the pastries were yummy and the dogs were relatively friendly. there were dog owners who would bring their dogs over for them to socialise with other dogs, so you get to see more dogs. the only disadvantage of the place was that its so far away from where we are.
this is it for now. take care!
